Fire barriers & curtains

The objective of compartmentation is to prevent the spread of fire between adjoining buildings. This applies to the subdivision of individual buildings when more than one compartment is either horizontal or vertical, to give adequate protection, to ensure that the designated fire escape routes are not compromised.
