As a successful and progressive building, civil, structural engineering & Rail Contractor we currently have requirements for the following:

SENIOR, INTERMEDIATE & GRADUATE QUANTITY SURVEYORS

SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Applicants for the senior role must be degree qualified and have a minimum of 5-years experience relevant to Kilnbridge’s disciplines and sectors and will report directly to the Commercial Manager.

The following duties, whilst not exhaustive, reflect the requirements of the role:

  • Head office and site based as required to manage individual projects or multiple projects.
  • Agree project budgets and ensure the site teams understanding and adherence to same.
  • Actively monitor site progress, review constraints and pursue ‘change’.
  • Monitor incoming site instructions and correspondence and liaise with site team and client regarding same.
  • Pursue outstanding site instructions.
  • Attend client progress and design meetings for ‘change’.
  • Prepare quotations for site instructions and potential variations.
  • Meet the client on a regular basis to review, negotiate and agree the variation account as the project progresses.
  • Prepare and submit monthly / regular applications.
  • Negotiate and maximise monthly applications.
  • Prepare monthly project CVR report for submission and presentation to the Senior Management / Board.
  • Prepare and submit final accounts.
  • Prepare and submit fully substantiated claims for extension of time and additional costs where appropriate in accordance with the relevant conditions of contract.
  • Knowledge of the NEC, ICE, I-CHEM and JCT forms of contract required.
  • Ensure contractual correspondence and entitlements are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Procure subcontractors, manage and finalise their accounts.
  • Ensure commercial compliance in accordance with Kilnbridge procedures.
  • Mentoring of and management of assistant QS’s as required.
  • Advise all known risks in any project, take steps where necessary to minimise all exposure by utilising senior management advice and such like.

INTERMEDIATE QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Applicants for the Intermediate role must be degree qualified and have up to 5-years relevant experience.

  • As detailed above under the direct guidance of a senior surveyor or commercial manager.

GRADUATE QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Applicants for the Graduate role must be degree qualified preferably with experience but not essential.

  • They must show ability and acumen to contribute to the various divisions within the Kilnbridge Group and thereafter develop through experience and mentoring to fulfil the full duties of a surveyor on their own projects.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
